SEESAYACT TRAIN THE TRAINER
Course aims
The “SeeSayAct” Community Engagement Train the Trainer Course will enable port security and law enforcement personnel and security staff with management and instructional duties to set up and run the “SeeSayAct” programme to a standard approved by the International Organization of Airport and Seaport Police (INTERPORTPOLICE). The “SeeSayAct” programme offers a comprehensive risk mitigation and community engagement package. This course can also be developed on a bespoke basis to meet the specific needs organizations.
Course objectives
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to set up and run “SeeSayAct” programmes within their port environments and:
– understand the current maritime security environment, including new and emerging threats to maritime security;
– address a range of new and emerging threats in ports, airports, transportation hubs and other environments;
– understand how to address challenges like illegal fishing and trafficking of drugs, weapons, people and wildlife;
– understand how to meet the international standards and recommended practices;
– understand how to apply highly secure, real-time communications software packages to ensure the effectiveness of the programme;
– understand how to apply behavioural analysis techniques and operational techniques to their community engagement programmes;
– design, plan, and implement a “SeeSayAct” programme for their organisation.
Target group
Instructors and senior personnel and managers with security, safety, and quality management responsibilities, suppliers and service providers with security management responsibilities (e.g., law enforcement, ground handlers, maintenance ovrganisation), regulators and legislators, critical national infrastructure organisations.
