Scope

The following course is originally intended to be organized and delivered everywhere in the world. Upon request it may be anyway organized and delivered in Italy.


 

The course aims at providing maritime administration officers and trainees with the tools and knowledge required to conduct audits under the IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS).

Objectives

The objective of this training is to augment Member States’ audit capacity with the aim of enhancing the global and uniform implementation of the relevant IMO instruments.

Entry Standards

The training is addressed to  officials who are involved in conducting internal audits of their administrations and who, following completion of this training, may be nominated as auditors under IMSAS. Participants should have should have demonstrable auditing skills and techniques, as for example obtained from a management system auditor training course, International Safety Management (ISM) Code and similar.

Minimum and Maximum Intake

Minimum intake: 10 participants

Maximum intake: 25 participants
