IMSSEA

I.M.S.S.E.A. – International Maritime Safety Security Environment Academy is an international maritime education and training center specialized in the training of senior specialist maritime personnel in various aspects of shipping and related fields.
Courses are designed to be responsive to the needs of public sector departments and ensure the effective exercise of flag, port and coastal state jurisdiction.

I.M.S.S.E.A. has been created in 2009 and developed a 15 years experience through a direct cooperation with the International Maritime Organization. Today, as international branch of the Italian Shipping Academy, it is one of the main capacity builder in the world, and as such provides the worldwide maritime community with advanced education, training and technical advice.

How to reach the Academy

Starting from 2017, IMSSEA will hold its courses in a new spectacular and amazing seat: Villa Figoli, an ancient building located in Arenzano, West coast of the province of Genoa, while its headquarter remains located in Genoa.

  • By car – closest highway exits are Genova Nervi and Genova Est
  • By train – closest railway station is Genova Brignole (bus 43 stop is just in front of the station)
  • By plane – Genoa airport “Cristoforo Colombo” is linked to the City – centre by a bus shuttle service (Volabus)
